Enable language switch for Percipio integration via channel share links

We have integrated our customer Percipio site via share links redirecting users to all channels in all languages. However we found out that learners were unable to see content in a particular language when they switched language via the Percipio drop down menu. This issue is impacting all learners and we are unbale to deploy Percipio like this. We are asking if you could consider a product enhancement as this is an urgent technical gap that we need to address.

  • @Gregory Brunet, as a rule, we try to build solutions where learners should not land on a page where they do not see any content (typically these are due to configuration or entitlement issues). With the latest Percipio release, we introduced a Channel Language selector that enables the learner to see and select from a list of available languages the channel has content curated. This should help the bilingual user choose a language with content available in a language they are fluent in and prevent the learner from not seeing any content. In addition, we have also deployed a new feature (Virtual Localized Channels - VLC) that enables third-party LMS systems (TPLMS) to integrate channel links that drive the user to a specific channel language rather than always seeing English. These VLCs have the added benefit of enabling TPLMS customers to curate language-specific libraries for their learners using the VLC share links. Please provide feedback if these features do not reduce/eliminate the problems you were seeing previously.

  • Thank you @Scott Oliver, indeed this issue has since been addressed by our Dev team.
