PROPEL YOUR ORGANIZATION AND PEOPLE TO GROW TOGETHER

We continually release new features and enhancements based on your feedback and ideas. We want to share some recent additions for you here. You can review the complete list of changes in the September 22 Release Notes.  

NEW! LEARNING PROGRAMS 

A learning program offers an ideal opportunity for a group of learners, known as a cohort, to navigate a learning experience together. This feature allows you to utilize a fixed set of assets that you've organized into a journey for multiple cohorts. Whether it's a Skillsoft Aspire Journey or a custom journey like a new hire or first-time manager training program, you can use it. You can monitor the progress of each cohort independently and send customized notifications. 

With learning programs, you can:

  • Determine whether the learning program is mandatory or optional for each cohort.
  • Include multiple cohorts in the same learning program.
  • Assign each cohort a unique program end date, a link to a social platform for collaboration, and custom notifications.
  • Add any Skillsoft Aspire Journey or custom journey. You have the flexibility to choose which journey display style best fits your program requirements.

GET READY FOR THE NEW STAR RATING SYSTEM 

We will soon replace the current Likes (Thumbs Up) system with a more comprehensive Star Ratings system. This enhancement will offer learners a quick, effective way to evaluate content, and the ratings will be visible right on the content card.

 

With this release, you will see a new setting under Site features called Allow content ratings. This feature will be enabled by default, allowing learners to rate content using the new 5-star system when it's released later this year in the October/November time frame. If you prefer not to have your learners rate content or view aggregated ratings, you have the option to disable this feature now. 

NEW! LEARNING FEEDBACK DASHBOARD 

The new Learning Feedback Dashboard (beta release) shows learner satisfaction levels with the content they're engaging with and whether they'd recommend it to others. This tool will be instrumental in helping you decide where to direct your content development efforts.

ENHANCEMENTS TO ‘ALL CONTENT LISTING’ REPORT

This new report provides full details about all the content on your site, including:

  • Descriptions, durations, and eligibility for badges or CPE credits
  • Locations in assignments, promotions, and journeys
  • Locations in the library hierarchy
  • Availability in other languages
  • Status (recently added, pending retirement, and replacement details if available)

It replaces the two existing content reports, Content Listing by Title and Content Listing by Collection. For more information, see All Content Listing Report.

NEW DISPLAY STYLE AVAILABLE FOR CUSTOM JOURNEYS

When you create a custom journey, you can now choose two display styles: the Classic style that displays track content on separate pages and a new Simple display style. The new Simple display style presents the journey on a single page to learners and plays any added video inline. This Simple display style suits shorter journeys with abundant video content. You can change any existing journey to the new Simple display style by editing the journey. For more information on the new display style, see Create Custom Journey.

VIDEO-ONLY PLAYER NOW TRACKS AS A COMPLETION IN REPORTS 

When a learner completes any video in the video-only player, Skillsoft counts it as a completion in the Total Completion count. To help clarify this in reports, we also renamed the Total Completions column to Total Completion with Course Video for the following reports:

IMPORT MULTIPLE EXTERNAL LEARNING ITEMS THROUGH BULK IMPORT 

To help you keep all learning records in one place, you can now import many external learning records at once into the platform. External learning is learning that happens outside of Skillsoft Percipio, such as a conference. For more information on how to do this, see Bulk import external learning.

LATIN AMERICAN AND CASTILIAN SPANISH ARE NOW AVAILABLE AS LANGUAGE CHOICES

Skillsoft Percipio now supports hosted custom content in Latin American and Castilian Spanish. When you add custom content in these languages, learners see the option to view the user interface in that language. For more information, see Setting your Language.

EASILY SWITCH BETWEEN SKILLSOFT PLATFORMS 

If your organization uses Skillsoft Compliance or Skillsoft Coaching, learners can now easily access those platforms from a new icon in the top navigation. The icon is represented by nine dots arranged in a grid. For those using Skillsoft Compliance, the Compliance link no longer shows under the profile menu.
