Certification Path Enhancement Request - admin options

Customers love the certification pathways, however specifically customers still have an issue with the "Schedule your Exam" and "Upload your Certificate" tracks/sections.

The new ability to copy and create custom versions means it is possible to remove these section, however we have a customer who wants to do this to every pathway and this creates significant unnecessary admin, as well as huge risk of pathway not being accurately manually maintained and therefore learners could fail an exam if content is not up to date (due to no fault of the learner).

The best way to resolve his would be a site admin option/toggle to be able to turn off the "Schedule your Exam" and "Upload your Exam" tracks/sections, from the platform.

Please can this be considered urgently as customer is potentially in breach of their own policy. Their only alternative is to turn Certification pathways off on the platform or hide all manually.

  • @Cheryl Hadtstein I am monitoring similar feedback for way to mitigate individual journey editing with a comprehensive setting to apply select modifications to certification paths. This will be under strong consideration for Q2 in our planning cycle.

Please share all customers on whose behalf you are reporting and the internal contact who has had the most direct discussions with each customer.

Can you also share the customer citing a policy violation and share the detail of the policy?

  • @Cheryl Hadtstein Furthermore, the perceived risk of paths not being accurately manually maintained does not present when removing tracks from a certification path. When simply removing existing tracks from certification paths, all changes to remaining stock tracks will be reflected in those tracks remaining in the custom Journey via auto-sync. Therefore, no manual maintenance will be required to keep the journey content in sync.

    STEPS:

    1. Copy the stock journey to create a custom journey.
    2. Remove the tracks that you don’t want to see.
    3. Don’t touch the remaining tracks.

  • @Charles Carpenter thank you for providing the update.

The customer citing breach of policy is LBG, communications/discussions with the customer has been handled by CSM @Julian Gordon

We have been instructed to take the action to manually hide all certification pathway Journeys on their platform and have executed the request this week as an interim measure.

It's also been mentioned to me that this is an issue for DTAG, another of our important customers in EMEA. I have also not been involved in direct discussions with them however my colleague @Lisa Stern has been involved in the conversation with them

  • @Cheryl Hadtstein Thank you.
