New Course Announcement: Opioids and Naloxone Administration

We are excited to announce the launch of our new course, Opioids and Naloxone Administration. This course is designed to provide essential knowledge on opioids, their use and misuse, along with how to safely manage and respond to overdoses in the workplace.

When used properly, opioids offer significant relief to patients in need. However, opioid abuse remains a major concern in the US & around the globe. It is crucial for us to be prepared and informed on how to handle such situations effectively.

  • Understanding different types of opioids
  • Recognizing symptoms of opioid use and abuse
  • Managing an overdose situation safely

In January 2024, the National Safety Council (NSC) surveyed over 500 employers and 800 employees across various industries. The survey revealed a significant disconnection between awareness and adoption, community and workplace, use and safety, and support and stigma regarding opioid use and overdose.

We encourage you to view the full survey findings, a blog post, and the survey infographic to gain deeper insights into this critical issue.

We believe this course will be a valuable resource for enhancing workplace safety and ensuring we are all equipped to respond appropriately in case of an opioid-related emergency.
