Update Due Dates for Individuals in Assignments
The method I've seen discussed for changing due dates for individuals in an assignment is to cancel them from the assignment, copy the assignment, edit the users to include that/those individual(s) with new due dates. Multiple copies of the same assignment creates a very messy assignment page for admins and makes reporting more difficult. Since changing the dates on the assignment affects all learners, it would be useful to be able to use the bulk import assignment template to change due dates for everyone or just for specific people. I've been able to do this in a previous LMS and it worked wonderfully.

Would it work to set the number of days someone has to complete the assignment, without having a due date?
In doing it this way- when a user gets the assignment, they will have the same number of days to complete it. And you can keep adding people to the assignment without having to copy or create a new one.
Additionally, reminders will still go out based on their personal due date (based on the number of days they have to complete the assignment).

I'm referring to people who are already in the assignment - sometimes things happen, like maternity leave, etc. and we'd like to give people additional time to complete the assignment. Once someone is assigned and receive their personal due date (these are set with number of days to complete) that due date is "stuck" for that person. Even if you 'unassign' them - then add them back in to the audience they still get the original due date. Having the option to use a template to bulk load with a column that would change their due date would be more manageable. Currently, for these people I have to either cancel or remove them from the assignment then create a new assignment for them to be scheduled for another date.

Thank you for your suggestion. We are developing a new feature to support recurring assignments and as part of that, we will have the feature to change the due date for an individual.
