Reporting Fields to Match 3rd Party LMS Data

With Percipio Core (and compliance) content retiring frequently, we need update activities in our 3rd party LMS, SumTotal. Mapping the IDs and identifying impact is a cumbersome process as the IDs don't match from one platform to another. If an asset like a book or video is retired, these are the different IDs that are in both systems. Matching based on title is hit or miss, so having a unique identifier would assist with easily matching codes.

Title: 99 Tricks and Traps for Microsoft Office Project Including Microsoft Project 2000 to 2007: The Casual User’s "Survival Guide"

Percipio Content ID (from the retired content report): 21402

SumTotal ID: 216ebef0-efd4-11e6-b576-0242c0a80803

Suggested solutions:

Crosswalk table between the two platforms

Custom Report built which will map the IDs if different

The All Content Listing Report already contains a column called External Content ID, that can be populated for Custom Content. We should be able to extend this to all content in Percipio to house the 3rd Party system ID for ease of use. This is an integration problem, how is this data shared and captured in Percipio so it can show in the report. We will explore this idea further.
