Assignment dashboard cannot be filtered on each assignment
When you have released several assignments, the Assignment Dashboard consolidates the data of all assignments - so it's not possible to get a dashboard view for each assignment. Also, it becomes quite messy as people having several assignments are counted twice.
It is possible to filter on each assignment in the report but not in the dashboard.

Thank you for your suggestion. Have you checked out the new Learning Program Dashboard? Because learning programs and assignments are very similar we combined both into the new dashboard, and it is possible to choose and drill down into a single assignment. It might provide just the view you are looking for.
We will also consider adding an assignment filter to the dashboard (choose up to 10) so you can create a view that would work. I assume then you would also want to save that view for future use?1
