[Skillsoft Percipio Release Notes] Announcing New Features to Help You Transform Your Workforce
Propel Your Organization and People to Grow Together
We continually release new features and enhancements based on your feedback and ideas. We want to share some recent additions for you here. You can review the complete list of changes in the June 27 Release Notes.
(1) PREVIEW THE NEW LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Get a sneak peek at the new learner experience. You can now turn on a preview view from the top navigation and explore the reimagined Skillsoft Percipio experience rolling out to the platform in August.
The new design is based on extensive research and testing to ensure learners can access impactful, relevant skilling experiences aligned with your business's strategic outcomes as smoothly as possible.
The preview offers a glimpse of the new experience, targeted for launch in August:
- Left-hand navigation for both learners and admins
- A new Library page, which replaces the current menu
- The new My Learning page, which consolidates all learner activity
- Search-based Area and Subject pages
- Certifications page
- Updated visual designs — including new fonts, improved spacing, and rounded content cards
Your feedback is crucial. Please use the feedback icons on the platform to share your thoughts on these improvements.
Additionally, use this preview period to update your learner-facing materials. The Quick Start Guide provides more details on the changes.
(2) MANAGE REQUIREMENTS EASILY WITH DYNAMIC CONTENT
Dynamic content allows you to create custom content that prompts learners to answer questions. Learners receive content such as courses, books, or videos based on their responses. This feature is ideal for learning initiatives with diverse requirements, like harassment training or new hire orientation, where different groups need specific content. With dynamic content, you can manage everything in one place within a single assignment or learning program.
For more information and to get started, see Dynamic Content.
(3) DEFINE BUSINESS GOALS AND CONNECT LEARNING TO STRATEGIC OUTCOMES
You can now create up to 10 custom business objectives to organize your assignments and learning programs. These objectives can be created within the assignment or learning program workflow or from the Custom Business Objective page.
We recommend collaborating with other administrators to define your company’s most effective business objectives before creating them.
For more information, see Custom business objectives.
(4) ASSIST LEARNERS WITH CONTENT DISCOVERY — NEW BOOKSHELF PAGE
The Bookshelf page is a centralized place where learners can browse a vast collection of books, audiobooks, and summaries. Accessible from the Showcase section in the Library menu, this feature helps users discover content tailored to their preferences.
On the Bookshelf page, learners can explore:
- Top picks from Role Advisor (if enabled)
- New releases
- Top books in Technology (if available)
- Top books in Leadership and Business (if available)
Additionally, users can search the entire collection and refine their results using specific filters.
(5) OFFER CONTENT RECOMMENDATIONS USING SKILLSOFT CAISY™ CONVERSATION AI SIMULATOR
Learners who complete a CAISY™ scenario and receive a rating can ask CAISY™ for learning recommendations to improve their performance for next time.
(6) PROMOTE ALIGNMENT TOWARDS BUSINESS INITIATIVES — NEW LEARNING PROGRAMS AND ASSIGNMENTS DASHBOARD
The new dashboard provides an overview of your organization’s learning programs and assignments. It summarizes the number of active programs, assignments, learner participants by category, and completions by category. Supported categories include Certification, Compliance, Cultural, Leadership, Onboarding, and Upskilling.
Dashboard Use Cases:
- Visual summaries of active learning programs and assignments
- Summary of learner participation by category
- Completion rates by category
- Detailed drill-downs to compare data by user attributes
Use this dashboard to track compliance, minimize risk, and ensure alignment with your corporate learning and business initiatives.
For more details, refer to the Learning Programs and Assignment dashboard.
(7) ADD STRUCTURE TO LEARNING — IMPLEMENT COMPLETION ORDER
When creating a custom journey, you now have the option to require learners to complete content in the displayed order. This means the next item or track will be locked until the previous one is finished, ensuring structured progression.
Learners can preview upcoming tracks, but they will see a locked icon for items they cannot yet access.
You have two options for order requirements:
Learners must complete tracks in the display order specified; however, they can complete the content within each track in any order.
Learners must complete both tracks and the content within each track in the specified display order.
By default, there are no enforcements on completion orders. For more details, see Create Journey.
