Custom Content page needlessly narrow

Greetings,
Every time I want to go into the custom content zone, I have to use the column filters to eliminate several items so that I can see the Created by column. It is always out of view until I do that. So recently, I've got to make a lot of changes to my content set up and I had to do the following, like, 50 times!
  • Column drop down: uncheck File Size, Format, Language.
  • Created by column drop down, page down several times to find my name and check it
  • Page down, or forward to find files that had incorrect source labels and change them
  • Re-publish X 50
Now, I truly hope that I won't have to go through and do something like this again, but I do have a suggestion for making life a LOT easier.

The grid the Custom content appears within is only about half of the page in width.  The other half is split into quarters on either side of it.  Why not use more of the page if the columns are going outside of the viewable area?  There is definitely room to see all of them in one view.

Thank you for considering implementing this change.

Hi @Michele Brooks, thank you for the suggestions! We have discussed the idea that admins could save their changes to reports as templates. So basically you could customize the view for a report with the data in it that you use regularly so that when you return you wouldn't need to make any changes. But of course you could return to the default view or change/add/remove columns at any time.
I'll work with our User Experience team to revisit those designs and get the development work for that feature scheduled in the future.
