Manual Completion Recording by Admin
Steve Dunn
ADVENTURER

Due to our mix of employee types and lack of individual tech equipment in high volume areas, we often find it necessary to allow some content to be presented over large screens and have learners participate in group settings.
To allow only some individuals to leave a line causes major challenges when compared to just shutting a line down temporarily and allowing all learners to participate simultaneously with training and then be able to return to production.
Because of these challenges, we have a huge need for branches to provide attendance lists and then allow learning or site admins to upload completion for everybody in attendance without each learner having to login and access the training independently.
Even if possible, using an ILT as a second learning object with equivalency wouldn't be as efficient as a simple admin upload that could include a memo for the reason why and the admin's name on each transcript/activity where a completion was documented.

Admin completion override is on the radar for 2022 @Steve Dunn. The one challenge is the time tracking. Do you want the admin to specify the time the learner spent or just transfer the "estimated duration" for the content to the learner's learning hours? Also, it seems that a bulk-tool will also be handy for overriding many learners at once. We will keep that in mind as we design the UX for this.0

@Monica Kraft Great News from our Skillsoft friends once again. Thanks for the quick response. Just knowing you're listening is huge, but you always seem to also already be working on solutions to every challenge we encounter and it's appreciated.
In the past (with a 3rd party LMS), we only used the estimated duration from the learning object itself and didn't necessarily worry about "actual" time. The ability to note that the completion was entered by an Admin gave additional clarity that the learning hours were being estimated.
We typically recorded these for 2000-3000 learners (across approx. 40-50 locations) at a time using a bulk-tool, so that would be essential for our use case here as well.0 -
Excellent feedback, thanks @Steve Dunn. We will keep you posted.0
