Hi team,

On replacing retiring/ retired content in custom Channels & Journeys with new courses, replacement courses & content.

It'll be fantastic to see an option-feature where you can do this at one-click (or 2 clicks!).

Idea:
-Admin who created the channel/ journey will get a notification when they next login, stating that some content in channels/ journeys they created are retiring.
-Clicking on this notification brings them directly to the content/ tracks editing page, within editing of channel/ journey.
-then having the option to "check-box" on courses, those they "agree/ accept" as replacements..
-for eg. the course/ asset item could show the current course, AND the "recommended replacement". with description text of the replacement course.
-If they like the replacement, they can simply check box, scroll to the end, and click on "replace".

Let me know if you have questions!

Hi @Caleb Ho this is an excellent suggestion! We have talked about exactly this feature and can't wait to offer it. Ideally admins would have the ability to quickly and easily replace retired content wherever it is curated with that content's replacement. Currently I don't have a timeline for this but it is very much on our radar as an enhancement for admins!

    Many thanks @Michael Murphy !!

It's just in time that our clients have some additional feedback/ suggestions on this.

    Namely and succinctly;
An option for the system to "auto-replace" retired content, to the new replacement content.

    Hi Caleb,

Thanks for the list. (Content Status Report)

One feedback I have towards the retiring courses is sometime those courses are in the existing assignments. After they are retired, when users click on the assignment, it shows the content doesn’t exist. It’s very confusing to the users. We have received quite a few emails from users because of this.

Can we suggest when a course is retired, it’s either to directly replace the content with new one or allow us admins to edit courses in the assignment?

The system should also give us an alert which assignment includes these retiring courses so that we can change. Otherwise it’s very reactive that we only find out after users complain they can’t access. Can you help us feedback to your product team please?

    Thank you.
