Hi team,

Now, in Percipio Search, it displays the "Channel" or "Journey" a content/ asset resides in.

Clients are asking if the Area and Subject can be included.

They mentioned it would be great if the pathway is displayed.

For example,

Area > Subject > Channel/ Journey

This would help bring clarity to the places where the asset resides in and easier for the learner to explore other content in the same subject area.

The other advantage would be heping the learner familiarise with library navigation in Percipio.

Many thanks in advace!

I do like this suggestion, as it introduces an aspect of browse into search. It would allow the learner to jump to the area in the hierarchy where the content sites, if they wanted to explore.

One thing we need to be aware of would be the increased "stuff" on the result card. We have some assets that are in many channels, so you see some cases where the "From Channel: " list on a card is already several lines of comma-separated channels. This would get worse if we introduce the much longer "area > subject > channel" mappings. We would need some UX work to figure out how to make this look good without overwhelming the card. Maybe we hide it under a clickable Expand control, since not everyone may care where the asset lives in the catalog.

I will add this to the list of things to consider for future search enhancement.
