NEW! ENHANCEMENTS TO SKILL BENCHMARKS

FIVE LEVELS FOR SKILL BENCHMARKS AND SKILL GAIN TAB ON DASHBOARD

The skill level scale has expanded from three to five levels to offer a more precise grouping of learners' scores and help you more accurately calibrate the impact of your skilling programs. Learners now see the new score chart when viewing a Skill Benchmark, while admins can view the new chart in the Skill Benchmark dashboard. The new levels and ranges are:

  • Novice (0-9 points): Learner demonstrates no familiarity with skills’ critical topics.
  • Aspiring (10-49 points): Learner demonstrates minimal capabilities for a specific skill. They will require a significant learning investment to achieve proficiency.
  • Developing (50-69 points): Learner demonstrates some proficiency with a specific skill and only needs to close a few knowledge gaps to reach the next level.
  • Proficient (70-89 points): Learner demonstrates a level of capability indicating they are ready to start applying the skill to practical challenges in their work.
  • Advanced (90-100 points): Learner demonstrates a thorough understanding of the skill and may be a candidate to mentor others within your organization.

NEW WAYS TO MEASURE USAGE AND IMPACT

NOW RECORDED: TIME SPENT IN KNOWLEDGE CHECKS AND COURSE TESTS

Instead of only measuring time spent watching videos, the Learning hours and Duration fields in reports now include time spent in the knowledge checks and the course tests.

LEARNERS MAY TRACK TIME SPENT LEARNING WITH LINKED CONTENT

Learners can now enter the time they spent learning on a custom-linked content item when you enable the setting: Allow learners to enter time spent for non-tracked content items

LEARNERS CAN ADD NOTES FOR COURSES AND AUDIOBOOKS

To help learners retain information on important concepts, they can now enter notes while watching a course or listening to an audiobook.

Learners will see a Notes tab in the course and audiobook player when you turn on: Allow note taking. Learners can categorize notes by entering a hashtag, and they may view all the notes they took later from the Notes page in their profile.

SAVE TIME WITH SCHEDULED REPORTS

To make it easier to track learning, you can now set up a schedule for reports to run daily, weekly, or monthly. You may also choose who receives a notification when the new report is ready to view. For more information, see Schedule Reports.

LEARNERS CAN NOW ACCESS SKILLSOFT COACHING FROM WITHIN SKILLSOFT PERCIPIO

To allow learners to easily access their Skillsoft Coaching account from their profile menu, you can turn on the option: Show a link in the user's profile menu that opens their Skillsoft Coaching account. When the setting is on:

  • Learners see a Skillsoft Coaching link under My Profile. Selecting this setting does not create an account for the user in Skillsoft Coaching. Please work with your Skillsoft account team if you would like to create user accounts in Skillsoft Coaching.
  • Learners are automatically logged into Skillsoft Coaching when they select the link from the Skillsoft platform.
  • Learners who select the Skillsoft Coaching link from My Profile see their Skillsoft Coaching home page.
