Weekend Relaxation with Thoughts of Learning

As I sit in my backyard, drinking my tea in the early morning, I begin thinking about my day.  It’s Sunday.  Blue skies, crisp cool air, and just a perfect 10 day.  My mind keeps going to what I will do today.  I decide to just relax and enjoy the morning.  However, later in the morning my day picks up where I have chores to do, places to go, and meals to plan.  This started me thinking about my typical workday.

When I begin my work day earlier than my start time, I like to think and plan, similar to what I did on this beautiful Sunday morning.  During this thinking time, is when I like to do something just for myself.  In many cases, I look through the library of assets available to me and find a course that I am interested in.  Not one that I was told to take but one that I want to take.   It might be something that I always wanted to know about, but never had time to pursue.  It might be a short video clip on a topic that I had heard about and wanted to learn a bit more of, or just something fun.  Whatever it is, finding time for yourself is a great way to begin your day.  When I do this, I feel more energetic and alive to dive into my work since I have a feeling of accomplishment with something I did just for me.

Try this out and see if it works for you.  This might be a nice tip to put in a Newsletter to get your users to explore some of the wonderful assets in your library.

If you try this, please comment.  It’s always so nice hearing from others if a suggestion I make is helpful.
