Good morning!

I am in the process of trying to find a training for my staff for them to understand professionality regarding workplace romance. Are there any specific courses, trainings, etc. that someone knows of?

Thanks,

Shane Lloyd

    Hi Shane,

I do not believe we  have anything specifically on this because workplace romance heavily depends on the employer's policy on the topic. It isn't governed by federal/state law as long as it is a consensual relationship.

You should consider customizing your annual training to include any workplace policies on the subject using the Skillsoft Content Configuration tool. For more information, please visit https://documentation.skillsoft.com/en_us/compliance_trng/content/compliance/course_config_tool/cmp-course-config-about.htm.

    Shane,

We found something! Our COMPLIANCE SHORT: Preventing Harassment and Promoting Respect 3 lchr_01_d04_lc_enus is about dating.

Usually, dating within the organization involves harassment prevention and conflict prevention. Companies generally have policies to prohibit dating within the direct reporting line (manager dating someone in their direct report chain) to avoid implied conflicts of interest and potential quid pro quo harassment claims. Other than that, the general company code of conduct is to be respectful and fair and not harass your coworkers (e.g. no means no, and no retaliation or embarrassment if the relationship does not work out).

    Thank you.
