Uploading Names with Accents into Percipio

edited August 2024 in Talent Insights
Hello all,

We are launching Percipio on Monday (woo!) and are importing our users. We have a number of learners who have accents in their names (i.e. é, ô) that show up as question marks when we import them into the system, directly from a CSV file. We have done some troubleshooting by putting the data into a notepad and re-pasting into our CSV file, as well as other methods, but no success thus far. Manually correcting these would not be sustainable for us in the long run.

Any tips from others who have encountered this issue?

Thank you!

Hi Karolane, first congratulations on your Percipio Launch! Not sure if someone has answered your question but in order to maintain language characters, you'll want to save your .csv as .csv UTF-8. So if you paste the data into the Percipio .csv template, the save as - CSV UTF-u (Comma Delimited) (*.csv) should be the option in the drop down.-------------------------------------------

Great tip! Applicable within other applications, too.
