Easy Link from Cornerstone to Percipio - Looking for Ideas

edited August 2024 in Talent Insights
Earlier this year we moved our users from Skillport to Percipio which is accessed from our LMS (Cornerstone is our vendor). When we were on Skillport, we created a link that allowed users to easily access Skillport from our LMS. We did this by uploading the Skillport AICC zip file and creating an online "course." Users launched the course and accessed Skillport. Does anyone know where to access the file?

I'd also be interested in knowing how others are accessing Percipio from their LMS.

Thank you.

    Hi Peggy,

Percipio has a connector with CSOD that will bring in your library and in the curation that exists on Percipio too. This would help with reducing the need to upload AICC files and maintaining content as the connector runs on a regular sync to pick up new content.

I'd suggest reaching out to your Skillsoft Account Team to explore this further.-------------------------------------------

    Hi Peggy,
We moved from Skillport to Percipio March 2020, and we also use Cornerstone.  We chose NOT to import Skillsoft content into Cornerstone, because only courses would import, not all of the other fabulous Skillsoft content.  We found with Skillport, if people could find some of Skillsoft content in Cornerstone, then they got lazy and never actually popped into Skillport to look for more.  When we upgraded our platform, we decided to add a button in Cornerstone that learners could click to bounce into Percipio.  We use SSO, so once a learner was in Cornerstone, they had already been validated and therefore could safely pass over into Percipio.  We have found that this approach dramatically increases our overall usage of Skillsoft content.  I compare it to shopping at the grocery store.  You may have a full cart, but when you go to checkout, you might grab a pack of gum, a magazine, or a drink, just because you see it at the checkout line.  I like our learners to stumble upon things within Percipio, not just search for one item in Cornerstone and leave.  Best of luck.  You will LOVE Percipio!-------------------------------------------

This is interesting! How/where did you add a button for Percipio in CSOD?  We did integrate Percipio content via Edge. We brought in all content types - books, audiobooks, journeys, practice and courses. We're soon integrating channels after we test that experience.  We currently authenticate to Percipio via CSOD (which is through our Okta SSO). Sounds like you also authenticate using CSOD, is that true?-------------------------------------------

Hi Patty!  We also use Cornerstone and Percipio. I am an Admin and reconfigured our Welcome & Learner Home pages to make finding Percipio easy and for authentication purposes. We have taught our learners that Cornerstone is where they need to come for all of their training needs so it made sense. See screenshot below.

We have taken advantage of the Skillsoft library for years - mostly for our onboarding and leadership teams. With the additional of Percipio we were able to convince our Tech Dev folks to jump on board. Most recently we added the full library of eBooks and are working on promoting all of the wonderful material that it brings.-------------------------------------------

Subject: Easy Link from Cornerstone to Percipio - Looking for Ideas

This is interesting! How/where did you add a button for Percipio in CSOD?  We did integrate Percipio content via Edge. We brought in all content types - books, audiobooks, journeys, practice and courses. We're soon integrating channels after we test that experience.  We currently authenticate to Percipio via CSOD (which is through our Okta SSO). Sounds like you also authenticate using CSOD, is that true?

    Hi Peggy,
We moved from Skillport to Percipio March 2020, and we also use Cornerstone. You will LOVE Percipio!

    Thank you.

Thanks Michele - sounds great. I realize we have connected in the past now that I see your company. I sent you a PM via LinkedIn.-------------------------------------------

Great question Patti - I should have addressed that with the screenshot. Our learning plans are administered by our CSOD Admin teams through CSOD with internal and external content. I created those special Percipio filtered content / buttons mostly for "reference."

And yes, we are using CSOD dev plan functionality.  If you'd like to chat sometime let me know.

Thanks Michelle! I love this idea. Going to check with my Admin to see what we can do.  For the Aspire Journeys and Certs buttons - do those link to a specific filter on Percipio? or to content imported in CSOD?

The Career Dev Plans is interesting - we are looking to build out Academy models for various parts of the business and will be leveraging dev plans. Are you using the CSOD dev plan functionality?

Most recently we added the full library of eBooks and are working on promoting all of the wonderful material that it brings.
