Percipio hosted content - Storyline

Hello everyone. Currently when Percipio hosts created content there are two options for completions:  1 - completion triggers when content is launched 2 - learners registers completion.

Any other instruction designers out there figured out a way to ensure content is being reviewed after content is launch in Percipio?  What I need to know is what have others done when creating course content, loading to Percipio for delivery and working out how the learner actually view/reviewed the content?  Percipio is being used as the system of record for the created content.

    Good Question,

We would like to use Percipo for all our inhouse training, but currently we cant confirm the user has completed the training. The current process relies on honesty and can be circumnavigated becoming a tick box exercise, without the learner completing the whole course.  Some form of metric that shows the user has viewed the whole course with a completion option only showing if they have viewed it would work.

@Lane Miller @Keith Colvin - You can host SCORM and AICC courses in Percipio too, produced with tools like Articulate Storyline. These track users completions, time and test scores. Here is the link to the Knowledgebase with more details. https://documentation.skillsoft.com/en_us/percipio/Content/A_Administrator/admn_cc_overview.htm

    Hi Lane,

We have a number of custom content courses built with Storyline (and Rise). We have opted to use the menu option within Storyline (and Rise) to "Restrict" navigation. This basically restricts the seekbar and next button navigation until the timeline on the slide has played out and our learners cannot skip content. They are able to navigate back to a previous slide but cannot jump forward and/or skip to a final post-test/assessment. Our custom course completions are in most cases either achieve a passing score on the post-test and/or view all slides. In either case, our courses have the restricted navigation.

We publish our courses to Percipio in Scorm 1.2. I'm starting to explore xAPI which is a new feature to Storyline; but it does allow for more analytics within a course... but i haven't got a firm understanding of it all yet. I've been hearing about xAPI for a few years now to interesting to see Articulate start to implement it.

    Hope this helps!! :)-------------------------------------------
